We were very excited last week when we got an email from Becky Weyer, telling us how much she loves FlipSnack Edu, that we decided to share it with you.
We hope you’ll enjoy reading about her experience as much as we did and that it will inspire you!
My name is Becky Weyer and I am our school’s new Media Specialist at Southern School District. Before switching to this position, I was the 5th & 6th grade teacher for ten years. Southern School District is located in Southeast Nebraska, in a town called Wymore. However, our elementary is located in a neighboring town and together we service many smaller towns. We have approximately have about 400 students K-12 and 47% are special education.
I first started using Flipsnack last year with my fifth graders. I had them create an autobiography and we transferred their stories into Flipsnack. This year, I am working with 8th graders, and trying the autobiographies with them. These projects have really been amazing. Students worked really hard on them and I would love to publish them to students own websites, so that they can have it when they graduate high school. I can see lots of potential for our students and staff to use Flipsnack that will allow them to inspire and create projects that create lifelong learners.
